San Francisco Pride Celebration

Frozen Margarita Booth

Sunday, June 29^th, 2008

Dolores Street Community Services has been selected as a beneficiary of the SF LGBT Pride Celebration which means we’ll be running a beverage booth during the festival!  We’ll be working the Frozen Margarita booth on the corner of McAllister and Polk to the right of the main stage again this year. 

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS:

We’ll need about 50 volunteers altogether, with approximately 10 working the first shift and 20 for each of the following shifts.

10:30 AM – 2:00 PM - SHIFT IS FILLED

                1:30 PM – 4:00 PM - SHIFT IS FILLED

                3:30 PM – 6:00 PM - 4 MORE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

TRAINING:

All volunteers must be certified by Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) by attending a training session.  If you’ve gone within the past three years, you do not need to attend again this year.  If you’ve never been certified, you’ll need to attend one of the following dates. 

Saturday, June 21^st, 11am-12:30pm at The Women’s Building on 18th Street

Saturday, June 21^st, 1pm-2:30pm at The Women's Building on 18th Street

So please consider coming out for a few hours during Pride to have some fun, meet some new friends, and most importantly help us raise money for our programs!

We’re recruiting volunteers for Magnitude, a dance party on September 29^th, and Folsom Street Fair on Sunday, September 30^th!   Last time we were a beneficiary we received over $20,000 and we’ll need the help of 45 volunteers to make it happen again!

Volunteers need to attend one of two orientations on Thursday, September 20^th at 7 PM or Saturday, September 22^nd at 1:30 PM at the YMCA in San Francisco.  If you can volunteer, please send the following information to mason <at>dscs.org

Frozen Margarita Booth

Dolores Street Community Services has been selected as a beneficiary of the SF LGBT Pride Celebration which means we’ll be running a beverage booth during the festival!  This year, we’ve been given the Frozen Margarita booth on the corner of McAllister and Polk to the right of the main stage.  Instead of mixing cocktails in those big blue drums we’ll just pour the drinks out of a machine – so much easier, cleaner and faster!

We’ll need about 60 volunteers altogether, with 20 working each of the following shifts:

All volunteers must be certified by Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) by attending 2 hour training.  If you’ve gone in the past, you DO NOT need to attend again this year.  If you’ve never been certified, you’ll need to attend on either of the following dates.  They’ll both be held at The Center at 1800 Market (@ Octavia).

          Tuesday, June 19th, 7pm-9pm

            Wednesday, June 20th, 7pm-9pm
