Have you ever gotten in the shower and realized you didn't
have soap or shampoo? Have you ever wanted to brush your teeth after a meal and
realized you had no toothbrush or toothpaste? These items add a great deal of
comfort to our daily lives and help us maintain our health and hygiene.
However, it isn't hard to realize that if one's income is limited, these basic
supplies may be out of reach.

han comenzado a bañarse y de pronto no encontraron jabón o champú? ¿Alguna vez
se han querido cepillar los dientes, y no tenían cepillo o pasta dental? Estas
cosas nos traen mucha comodidad, y también nos ayudan a mantener la higiene y
salud. Pero, no es difícil ver que cuando falta el dinero, estas cosas pueden
estar fuera del alcance.
DHP is currently making an increased effort to put together
personal care packages for all our shelter residents. Our 65 shelter residents,
many whom work as day laborers, often purchase their own supplies. However,
those who can't work, or had a few days with no work, and those who are just
arriving at our program, sometimes need help getting these supplies.
In recent meetings at our shelters, the need for these
supplies has been mentioned. In response, we recently provided a very basic
personal care package to all our shelter residents, and are looking for ways to
provide these more often.
For our readers that would like to directly support this

El programa
DHP esta haciendo el esfuerzo para reunir paquetes de cuidado personal para los
residentes de nuestros albergues. Muchos de los 65 residentes son jornaleros, y
a veces pueden conseguir sus propios productos de higiene. Sin embargo, los que
no pueden trabajar, o han tenido días sin trabajo, o recientemente fueron
admitidos al programa, pueden necesitar ayuda para conseguir sus productos de
higiene.
Hace poco,
tuvimos reuniones en nuestros albergues, y los residentes han mencionado la
necesidad por productos de higiene personal. Quisiéramos poder proveerlos a
