Amy Beinart has been working in the field of affordable housing development for more than 16 years. In her most recent position as RAD Strategies Coordinator with Chinatown Community Development Center, she oversaw planning and implementation of CCDC's work to refinance, rehabilitate, and manage four former public housing developments in San Francisco, with the goals of preserving this crucially important housing resource and protecting current and future low-income tenants. Previously, she has been Housing Director of the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center, Organizational Director of the San Francisco Community Land Trust, and independent consultant to affordable housing and community development nonprofits. Her professional experience includes developing and operating affordable rental and cooperative homeownership housing, advocating to shape and implement equitable housing and land use policies, and designing and directing affordable housing programs at both department and organization levels. Amy holds a BA in Economics and a Master’s in Public Administration and is a graduate of the LISC Housing Development Training Institute.
