2018 Open Palm Awards

Save the date for our 2018 Open Palm Awards on Thursday, October 4th, where we will celebrate Dolores Street's accomplishments as well as honor community heroes who work tirelessly for dignity, respect and human rights for immigrants, low income, and homeless communities.

  • Our Housing & Homeless Services Award will be presented to Pastor Monique Ortiz of Santa Marta y Maria Lutheran Church, a leader in the Night Ministry serving San Francisco’s homeless individuals, and a key partner in the success of our Dolores Shelter Program.
  •  Our Immigrant Rights Award will go to the Immigration Unit of the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office. The Immigration Unit provides representation to undocumented immigrant detainees facing deportation; a group previously excluded from the right to appointed government counsel.
  • Our Workers’ Rights Award will honor the California Domestic Workers Coalition, a statewide coalition who passed historic legislation to insure permanent overtime protections for California’s domestic workers.

Please contact Anne Jaffe for sponsorship opportunities or purchase your ticket online.
